Vanessa Hudgens wows in a VERY daring plunging gown at Golden Globes afterparty

It must be difficult attempting to stand out in a room full of Hollywood's hottest leading ladies. But Vanessa Hudgens pulled it off with aplomb on Sunday night, as she attended the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty. The 25-year-old actress looked incredible in a plunging metallic dress as she posed up on the red carpet at the bash.

The former High School Musical star dazzled in the gown, which highlighted her toned figure and flashed a generous amount of flesh. Vanessa teamed the gown with twisted drop earrings and heavy eye make-up, wearing her raven hair slick and straight in a side parting. Adding some extra glamour to the ensemble, Vanessa went for deep crimson pointed nails, and gold strappy sandals.

However, Vanessa suffered a near wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet when the bottom of her dress started to unravel - with a large piece of thread seen on the red carpet. Vanessa didn't receive a nomination for a Globe this year, but her latest project Gimme Shelter is already being tipped for big things. Speaking recently about Gimme Shelter, Vanessa admitted her friends were left 'concerned' for her when she wrapped the film because she had immersed herself so much into the role of homeless pregnant teenager Apple, she had lost her sense of self. http://www.thefashioncentral.co.uk/fashion-models-list/

She said: 'I didn't really know who I was - Vanessa was gone. I came home and I was a complete disaster. 'My best friend is still so concerned about me when she thinks about that day because I was just a bit of a mess. I wasn't really comfortable in social situations and my self-esteem was super low because I had no hair and I had put on all this weight, so physically I didn't feel attractive. And I was single.' Vanessa - who gained 15lbs for the movie - cut her hair off on camera during filming and enjoyed the challenge of transforming herself to feel 'grimy and ugly'. She said: 'The grimier and uglier I got, the more I was like, "F**k yeah." '
